Victoria's castle : production material, ca. 1966.

Corrected typescript, front matter, corrected galley proofs. Under the canopy of the willow tree, Victoria creates a pretend castle in the garden, and entertains some very unusual make-believe visitors. One visitor, a real talking bird, is allowed to stay, and Victoria has an inkling the real world of others may be as pleasant as the make-believe castle.

Felice Holman was born October 24, 1919 in New York City. She graduated from Syracuse University in 1941 and later worked as an advertising copywriter. Felice Holman married Herbert Valen in 1941 and some of the experiences of their daughter Nanine Elisabeth Valen would serve as the model for her first book Elisabeth, The Bird Watcher published in 1963.
